What is the software that require for using e-Filing?

  • Pentium III and above

What is e-Filing?

  • e-Filing is one of the methods to submit Income Tax Return via Online using Internet.

Does everyone need e-Filing?
  • We encourage every tax payer to use e-Filing because it is easy, faster and safe.

What should I have to use e-Filing?
  • PIN NO (Obtains From Income Tax Statement sending via POST or nearest LHDNM Counter.
  • Digital Certificate (Free give)
  • Income Tax Reference Number
  • Computer and Internet Access
  • Internet Explorer Software 5.0 and above
  • Adobe Reader 7.0.5 and above
  • Mykad with 64K Chip (Mykad User)
  • Smart Card Reader (Mykad User)
  • Thumb drive (if user want to save data)

How the process of e-Filing?
  • Visit to e-Hasil web (https://e.hasil.gov.my) or click on e-Hasil icon at web (http://www.hasil.gov.my)
  • Register and Download Digital Certificate
  • Login e-Borang
  • Fill in the form with complete
  • Signing using Digital Certificate and send via Online.
  • Print out the authentication receive

How can i get the e-Filing assistant during the e-Filing process?
  • For assistant and question:
    • Call the Customer Service Center:1-800-88-5436 (LHDN)
    • Fax to Number: 03-4289 3400
    • E-Mail: callcenter@hasil.gov.my
    • Visit to nearest HASiL Branches/ HASiL Service Center.

What is Digital Certificate?
  • Digital Certificate is electronic Identity that has a same important like National Identity Card (NIC) or Mykad and Driving License or passport. It is use to verify the identity of the user and give the user permission to get the information when using online transactions..

How can I apply for Digital Certificate?
  • Please refer to Digital Certificate Registration Instructions at https://e.hasil.gov.my.
    For Tax Payer LHDNM, you have two options to choose your Digital Certificate
  • Digital Certificate that save inside of the computer as Softcert.
    • Get PIN NO (Obtains From Income Tax Statement sending via POST or nearest LHDNM Counter
    • Visit to e-Hasil web (https://e.hasil.gov.my) or click on e-Hasil icon at web (http://www.hasil.gov.my)
    • Register and Download Digital Certificate
  • Digital Certificate that save inside of the Mykad as Mykad.
    • Get PIN NO (Obtains From Income Tax Statement sending via POST or nearest LHDNM Counter.
    • Visit to e-Hasil web (https://e.hasil.gov.my) or click on e-Hasil icon at web (http://www.hasil.gov.my) and click on Mykad Logo.
    • Register and Download Digital Certificate

Why I need to apply for Digital Certificate?
  • Digital Certificate is use to verify the valid user when access to e-Filing system and Digital Signing on the e-Filing form.
     

What are the conditions that require before applying Digital Certificate?
  • You must under 18 and already have the Income Tax reference Number

How much should I pay when applying Digital Certificate?
  • It is free of charge to every tax payer LHDNM.

Why I unable to download Digital Certificate into my Mykad?
  • Digital Certificate is only support 64K Mykad, to check it please see at the back of your card. If below than this, please change at the nearest Office Registration Counter.

When my digital certificate will be expired?
  • Digital Certificate for e-Filing application is valid for 3 year term from the date of downloading the Digital Certificate.
If my Digital Certificate was expired, should I apply for a new one?
  • Yes, if you want to use e-Filing you should to apply a new Digital Certificate. The application method is the same like the first time application.

How to know my Digital Certificate expired date?
  • You can see the Digital Certificate expired date at your Internet Explorer (I.E) at Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Certificates. The date is in format MM/DD/YYYY. Example 02/28/2009.

What is the information having inside of Digital Certificate?
  • The information that have inside of your Digital Certificate are Name and Identity Number Card/Passport. You can see the Digital Certificate expired date at your Internet Explorer (I.E) at Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Certificates

Should I apply for Digital Certificate before downloading e-Filing Form?
  • Yes, you should apply your Digital Certificate before download e-Filing Form.

What should I do if I forgot my Digital Certificate password?
  • For Softcert User, Please access to e-Filing website https://spsd.hasil.gov.my/PKI and click on Re-download Digital Certificate/Forgot Password.
  • For Mykad User, access to e-Filing website https://e.hasil.gov.my and click on Mykad Logo and click on Re-download Digital Certificate/Forgot Password.

Which are explorers that support DIGICERT Sdn Bhd Digital Certificate?
  • For this time, we only support Internet Explorer versions 5.0 and above.

Can another person steal my Digital Certificate?
  • Yes if your Computer or Mykad that have Digital Certificate was stolen by another person.

What should I do if my Mykad was stolen/missed/damage, what will be happen to my Digital Certificate?
  • Please report to our Customer Care Service:

What will be happen to Digital Certificate if the owner passed away?
  • After Digicert got the Report and prove that the owner was passed away, they will revoke the Digital Certificate.

Is this Digital Certificate are safe?
  • The document that protected by PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technology, has pair secret key that impossible to be hack or Crack. The pioneer of PKI technologi is Rivest Shamir Aldeman. He said that to hack or crack 1024 bit Key it take about 3,000,000 period of time. So until now it is impossible to crack or hack.

  • Please ensure that your PIN No. that your enter is true as given by LHDNM.

I get ?WRONG Reference No. PLEASE CHECK YOUR Reference No.?
  • Sila pastikan No. Rujukan anda adalah betul seperti pada Kad Pengenalan anda.

I get “YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE”
  • It means that you have downloaded the Digital Certificate.

Why when I view my Digital Certificate i got the error ?The certificate has expired or is not yet valid? ?

  • It have two (2) reason why your Digital Certificate come out with this error:
    1. Make sure your computer time is correct.
    2. Your Digital Certificate was expired.

How can I know how many time I has been entered wrong PIN/Password?

  • Go to Start -> All Programs -> LHDNM -> MyKad Client Kit -> Periksa MyKad. .

Why my Digital Certificate is not appearing when I want signing the Form?
  • Please remove your Mykad from Mykad Reader and insert again. Make sure your key icon at your tray system is blinking when you insert your mykad.

What is activeX?
ActiveX is the technology build by Microsoft. With using ActiveX-enable browser (i.e. Internet Explorer only), it can be download as behalf of web document in order to give multifunction on the Internet Explorer.

ActiveX e-Filing, what does it means?

  • The Microsoft software that used by DIGICERT in e-Filing system.

How to get ActiveX e-Filing?

  • It will be automatically appear at your computer during the process of downloading the Digital Certificate and Re-download Digital Certificate.


What should I do, to enable the ActiveX Control at my computer?

  • At Internet Explorer, click on Tools menu, choose Internet Options.
  • Choose Security, and click on Custom Level.
  • Scroll down, click “ActiveX Controls and Plug Ins” and click on radio button to “enable”
  • Click OK, and OK again.


If the ActiveX Control is not appear when I downloading the Digital Certificate, what should I do on my Internet Explorer?

  • Click on ->Tools->Internet Options->Security-Internet->Default Level->Apply

How can I know in my computer is already installed the ActiveX control?

  • CKlik on –Tools->Manage Add-On->Enable and Disable Add-On->Select download ActiveX Controls.


The pop-up blocker in my computer has been set to enable. How should i do to disable it?

  • Click on –Tools->Internet Options->Privacy->Pop-up Blocker to uncheck->Apply.

What will be happened, if ActiveX is not yet downloaded?

  • You not allow login to the e-Filing system
  • E-filing system will be unable you to digitally sign the form
  • Digital Certificate can’t be downloaded
  • System will be remind the user to download the Digital Certificate
  • System will not allow you to continue the process of Downloading the Digital Certificate.
